What is LifeFit?
The LifeFit program is Multi Functional Fitness. It is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals and elite athletes. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of elite athletes and our grandparents differ by intensity, not technique. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bikers and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
What do I wear or bring?
You want to be comfortable: yoga pants, shorts, tennis shoes – anything that is going to work for you that you are able to move in. For ladies, we would suggest a sports bra. Please bring a water bottle. We have filtered water to refill.
What will my first day look like:
Make sure a waiver is filled out either online or at the gym. We will start the class with a warm up for approximately 10 min followed with a strength session. We then finish up with metabolic conditioning (Metcon). Classes are 1 hour.
I am new to this type of training, what should I expect?
Our LIFE program is a specifically designed for those new to Multi Functional Fitness and strength training. It is designed to promote left to right side balance, structural integrity, and joint stability. You’ll learn the basic movements. As you demonstrate proficiency, we’ll add on appropriate intensity and complexity. When you join CrossTowne LifeFit, you gain a Coach for Life. It is our desire to see individuals maintain a healthy lifestyle with a good fitness program. We are here to assist you on your fitness journey and set you up for success.
I have had knee problems, shoulder issues, etc. Can I still participate in this type training?
Yes. We work with many clients that have multiple issues. Everything is scalable. We work hand in hand with Dr. Jason Cook at Spine and Sports Rehab to tailor the workouts to your specific need.
I’m extremely overweight, Is this for me?
Absolutely! We welcome everyone and will work with you. As long as you are willing to come in and put the work in, we will be your support system. We want to set you up for success and a healthy lifestyle.
Is this type of training dangerous? I have heard horror stories from my friends and I am scared to try this.
In short, yes. Multi functional fitness can be dangerous, but not in the ways you might think. With improper coaching, equipment, and attitude, it can be very dangerous – but so can riding your bike or driving your car. The experienced and proven coaches you’ll find at CrossTowne LifeFit will ensure that you’re training in the safest and most effective way possible.
